8-DAY CASABLANCA TOUR ACROSS MOROCCO



Day 1: Casablanca - Asilah


The driver will be waiting for you at the airport and we departure to Asilah, an ancient quiet town, surrounded by a wall built during the Portuguese rule. The white and blue of the sea or the painted doors, are predominant colours. We will walk around the outside of the walls along the cliffs. On the inside, a tour in the Medina and a foray into the two bastions that can be visited, which provide an unforgettable view over the city and coast.


Day 2: Asilah - Chefchaouen


Today we drive to Chefchaouen - blue city. A small village situated between two mountains. The landscape is fascinating, and the Rif mountains surrounding the city. We do not miss the visit of the castle in the centre, the only octagonal mosque in the world.


Day 3:  Chefchaouen - Fes


After breakfast we will start the trip to Volubilis, ancient Roman ruins (World Heritage UNESCO). Then we drive to Fes,where you will have half day tour in the Medina, the oldest and most beautiful in Morocco, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages, declared a Unesco World Heritage Site. Its 14 doors lead us to a fantastic tangle of narrow streets, passages and alleyways. Its university is the oldest in the world. We will also visit tanners and discover their universe from a terrace overlooking the laundry. We will spend a night at a hotel.


Day 4: Fes - Erg Chebbi, Sahara


After breakfast we departure towards the Sahara desert, crossing the Middle Atlas and Azrou, a small Berber village in the mountain -old cedar forest and the monkeys that live there. We will also pass Midelt and we continue travelling through the valley of Ziz, and then Errachidia - the administrative capital of the region built by the French. The journey continues to Erfoud and Rissani. We arrive to the desert late afternoon. Dinner in a charming hotel situated in dunes of Erg Chebbi.


Day 5: Erg Chebbi -Sahara Tour


This day is especially reserved for a 4x4 tour around the region, passing through the famous Dakar rally, we’ll have a tea and see how a nomadic family lives. Then we visit the village of Khamlia, explore the Oasis of Hasi Labied. In the afternoon, we ride camel to the bivouac, with a stop in the big dune to watch the sunset. We spend night in the bivouac with camel treking, in a typical Berber tent in the desert.


Day 7:  Erg Chebbi - Boumalne Dades


You wake up early to see a unique sunrise at the top of the big dune and after breakfast we return to the hotel. We drive torwards Boumalne Dades and on the way you will visit the famous Todra Gorges, where you can see the most impressive canyon of Morocco, an ideal place for walking and exploring in your own. The journey continues to the Dades valley. Dinner and overnight stay at local hotel.


Day 8:  Dades Boumalne - Marrakech


Today we drive towards Ouarzazate, the main Berber city, known for its dramatic mountains and desert landscape surrounded by breathtaking valleys. We will visit the Kasbah Taourirt and if you wish the studios where some successes such as “Cleopatra” and “Mummy”were filmed. We will continue to visit Ait Ben Haddou, declared as Unesco World Heritage.

We arrive to Marrakech late afternoon.
