Day 1  : Casablanca - Fes

Today we explore Casablanca. You will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque outside of Mecca and we experience the coastal “Cornish” seaside. Afterwards, we will leave to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Here, you will see the Hassan Tower, the Oudaya Kasbah and then we continue to Fes where we stay overnight in local hotel/riad.

Day 2 : Fes to Merzouga Desert

Today we will have  4 hours to explore this Imperial city. We will see the Kairouine Mosque, spice market, tanneries and leather market, then pottery quarter, henna market, wood-crafters, metal workers,  Koranic schools. You’ll be staying in the old medina, which is a World Heritage site and one of the oldest and still thriving medieval cities in the World.After that we drive to Midelt through the Mountains and the cedar forests of the middle Atlas. We pass by Ifrane, a charming ski resort and Azrou, an important handicraft centre specialised in the work of cedar wood. At the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert to Merzouga where we spent a night in comfortable hotel.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert - desert camp:

After breakfast we will explore this charismatic region. You will have the opportunity to share a tea with the nomad family, visit the black desert and its fossils, and listen to typical music in Khamlia while you taste a delicious Berber pizza. Then we take camel trek ,which will take about 1hr 30 min from the hotel to the camp where we continue the spirit of the nomadic Berber lifestyle. The tents are well equipped and we provide mattresses, blankets, and cushions. After dinner we gather round the fire and enjoy the desert night perhaps with traditional Berber drums.

Day 4 : Merzouga – Toudgha Gorges – Dades Valley

The camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch sunrise. Afterwards, you’ll ride camel back to your hotel. After breakfast and shower, we’ll leave to Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco ,before arriving at Dades Valley for dinner and overnight stay in local hotel.

Day 5: Dades valley – Nomad caves – Ouarzazette

After breakfast in the hotel, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is the way of the thousand Kasbahs. You will have the opportunity to meet Berber Nomads in their caves. We’ll stop at Kalaat M’gouna, “the rose city”, to purchase the rosewater. We continue to Skoura and the birds valley, you’ll visit the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this area. After lunch ,we head to Ouarzazate, “the Hollywood of Africa”, whose geography and beautiful landscapes has attracted many world class movie producers (The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ).

Day 6:  Ouarzazette – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech

After breakfast in the hotel ,you will travel to Asni and Imlil via the dramatic Tizi Ntichka Pass. Today you’ll stop at the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. The largest Kasbah in Morocco, was built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. After a short visit to the Kasbah, your journey will continue through the majestic Tizi n’tichka pass in High Atlas mountain before to arrive to Marrakech.
