PRIVATE 6 DAYS TOUR FROM CASABLANCA TO DESERT

Day 1  : Casablanca - Fes

Today we're going to tour Casablanca. The Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque outside of Mecca, will be visited, as will the coastline "Cornish" shoreline. Following that, we shall go to Rabat, Morocco's capital. Here, you will view the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah before continuing to Fes, where we will spend the night in a small hotel/riad.

Day 2 : Fes to Merzouga Desert

We'll have four hours today to visit this Imperial city. The Kairouine Mosque, spice market, tanneries and leather market will be visited, followed by the pottery district, henna market, wood-crafters, metal craftsmen, and Koranic schools. You'll be staying in the ancient medina, a World Heritage site and one of the world's oldest and yet vibrant medieval cities. After that, we travel to Midelt through the Atlas Mountains and cedar trees. We proceed via Ifrane, a lovely ski resort, and Azrou, an important handicraft center specializing in cedar wood work. We will travel to Erfoud in the afternoon and then into the desert to Merzouga, where we will spend the night in a pleasant hotel.

Day 3 : Merzouga Desert - desert camp:

After breakfast, we'll go exploring in this enthralling location. You will be able to have a cup of tea with a nomad family, tour the black desert and its fossils, and listen to traditional Khamlia music while eating a great Berber pizza. Then we take a camel trip, which will take around 1 hour and 30 minutes from the hotel to the camp, where we will continue the nomadic Berber lifestyle. We supply beds, blankets, and pillows, and the tents are well-equipped. After supper, we congregate around the fire to enjoy the desert night, maybe accompanied by traditional Berber drums.

Day 4 : Merzouga - Toudgha Gorges - Dades Valley

The camel guide will wake you up early in the morning so you can view the sunrise. Following that, you'll ride a camel back to your accommodation. After breakfast and a wash, we'll head to the Tinghir and Todra gorges, Morocco's tallest and narrowest gorges, before landing in Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay at a local hotel.

Day 5: Dades valley - Nomad caves - Ouarzazette

We will leave the hotel after breakfast and travel through the Dades Valley to Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. The journey across Dades Valley is known as the route of a thousand Kasbahs. You will be able to encounter Berber Nomads in their caves. We'll stop at Kalaat M'gouna, "the rose city," to buy rosewater. We proceed to Skoura and the Bird Valley, where you will see the Kasbah Ameridil, a well-preserved kasbah in this region. After lunch, we go to Ouarzazate, known as "the Hollywood of Africa," for its topography and magnificent scenery, which have drawn many world-class film makers (The Mummy, Gladiator and the Last temptation of Christ).

Day 6:  Ouarzazette - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Marrakech

After breakfast, you will journey to Asni and Imlil over the breathtaking Tizi Ntichka Pass. Today you'll visit the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. T-hami El Glaoui, one of Morocco's last Berber chieftains, erected the biggest Kasbah in the country. Following a brief stop in the Kasbah, your drive will continue across the spectacular Tizin'tichka pass in the High Atlas mountains before arriving in Marrakech.
